Shaoxing radio and television tower relocation project has successfully completed the main body project ahead of the schedule. At present, 168 meters high tower has been erected in the territory of Paojiang Industrial zone, west of State Road 329.

Shaoxing radio and television tower relocation project is an important project for strengthening cultural city, and attracted widespread attention from the society. New Shaoxing radio and television transmitting tower is designed by Tongji University, and constructed by Qingdao Sinostro Technology Co., Ltd., with height of 168 meters, a total investment of 23 million Yuan.

The transmitting tower started construction in July 2007, designed to launch a 2 sets of analog TV programs and multiple sets of digital television programs, 5 sets of FM stereo radio programs, and radio signal covers all Shaoxing and parts of the territory of and Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Yuyao and Shanghai, covering an area of about 4000 square kilometers, covering a population of nearly 10 million.

The new transmitting tower planed to formally put into use in October 1, 2008. After operation, the city radio and television signal coverage of sound and picture quality will be greatly improved.
